Lucas Equine Equipment is seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our fabrication team as a Welder. This position is responsible for assisting in the fabrication and assembly of premium equine equipment and barn components. While welding experience is beneficial, it is not required. We are willing to train candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to learn a skilled trade.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing quality work, and is eager to develop welding and fabrication skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities

  • Learn and perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies.
  • Read and interpret basic shop drawings and work instructions.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and prepare materials for fabrication.
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, drills, grinders, and other shop tools.
  • Maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules.
  • Assist with general shop and manufacturing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • No welding certification required.
  • No prior welding experience required; on-the-job training provided.
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to read a tape measure or willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and dependability.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
